Bite her or not bite her?

I can’t believe it. This vampire movie, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, runs its third installment. It’s just because of a same old question: Bite her or not bite her? Kid’s money is easy money.

When compare with a HK classic or Interview with a vampire, this story is simpler. 

The book, Interview with the Vampire, is written by Anne Rice. She is a Christian and her interview was interesting. She doesn’t think there is anything wrong with writing a book about vampire.

The Hong Kong classic, my date with a vampire, is far more complicated. The vampire is not allowed to bite the girl with a dragon because originally she is a vampire killer and a ghostbuster. The bite would make her a super vampire and can’t be controlled. A dragon served her family for decades to destroy evil.

Dragon in the bible is evil and it represents satan but in Chinese it is a lucky mascot. Here we can see the difference between bible and culture. Some Christians might follow bible straightly and dismiss cultural symbols. But, when we read a book or watch a movie, cultural symbols are secondary. Of course, we pursuit happiness in cultural products. But, if you read them with heart, you would make out what is right and what is wrong.

Therefore, don’t be too rigid.

+J by Jil Sander for UNIQLO

Jil Sander, a German fashion designer, collaborated with UNIQLO for the +J collection. She signed with Uniqlo to overseer their fashion range. Young people are loved. They can buy Jil Sander in an incredible price. They love UNIQLO but sometimes they are afraid of losing personality to wear the same UNIQLO. You can understand our youth.

Formed her own fashion label in minimal style, Jil Sander sold her fashion house to Prada in 1999 but left them half a year after a fight with Patrizio Bertelli, Miuccia Prada’s husband. I can understand. Who could stand a couple who mention how much their business worth, how they love art, how elegant they are, every time I see them in media? 

There is a saying that Jil Sander had refused to use budget fabrics when she was with Prada. But, how come she could work with UNIQLO? If I were her, I would do the same. The price marked by luxury brands is far more higher than the product valued. Therefore, why sacrifice quality for little profit in Prada Group? UNIQLO is another type of business. People who buy UNIQLO don’t give a damn for budget fabrics. Prada has IPO plan. Should we consider?

But, one day, you find out the interpretation of bible are not necessarily correct.

Some say Joseph was punished by his behaviors of showing off his dream and coat.

Some say he was good because he forgave his brothers.

You ask why Joseph was blamed. He was only a child.

You question.

You confuse.

You be careful because out there, there are some people wearing sheep skin but, indeed, they are wolves.

But God said He’ll protect you and lead you through.

Suddenly you realize Joseph is not the story you buy.

You remember God’s promises.

He loves you and gives you every single beautiful moment in your life.

You smile because you love your family and friends.

You don’t have to tell others the details because they are your treasures.

Still, you love ritual and traditional.
